Also, if I may, I’d like to point out one thing: I’m no Transformers fan but I’m sure the original idea was directed at kids — that was their target audience, right? The toys, cartoons, merchandise, etc. It’s obvious.
Which means these movies, which are supposed to be promoting the original concept, should be aimed at kids, too. Yet all three movies contain a horrific amount of sexual references and much profanity. I mean, seriously, what the hell?
Now some may argue that these are for comedic effect. Obviously, as smeg has pointed out in his reviews, it just doesn’t work. Furthermore, there’s dozens of ways to be funny without language or sexual refs. Honestly.
I haven’t seen the Transformers movies at all, but now I do want to watch them simply for the fact of taking note of all the horrendous acting and plot-holes. Huh. I guess it is a comedy somehow 😀
