Uh, I’m not so sure I agree with you. After watching the movie and paying attention to every minute of it, I actually had to consult the wiki when I got home, as I remembered so little of it. The only thing I actually initially remembered was that I didn’t feel like I was watching Star Wars. Even the prequels didn’t make that mistake.
By the way, why didn’t the writers just have Kylo Ren’s real name be Jacen? Ben was Luke’s son in the Expanded Universe.
And no, I’m not a Star Wars fanboy. I don’t find the films that impressive. Even the originals. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good, but I was never impressed.
